This comparison is based on the manufacturer specifications we have read and a supporting page sweep, on the dates given below. It rests on those sourced figures and not on hands-on testing.

Two step-up entry machines, line by line

The Bambino Plus and the Classic Pro are the two step-up entry machines this page sets side by side: 17 of 29 figures usable for the Plus and 15 of 29 for the Classic Pro, against 16 for the Bambino and 11 for the Stilosa. Fourteen of those figures are ones both machines state, and this page goes through them line by line rather than picking a winner. The Bambino and the Classic Pro already compares the base Bambino against this same Gaggia; the three entry machines already places all three of this cluster's machines side by side. This page does neither again: it is the two step-up machines, line by line.

Size and weight

The width, depth and height figures state 302 by 188 by 363 millimetres for the Plus, read 6 September 2026, and 200 by 270 by 355 millimetres for the Classic Pro, read 11 September 2026. The weight field states 4,950 grams for the Plus, read 3 September 2026, and 8,100 grams for the Classic Pro, read 11 September 2026, a difference of 3,150 grams by this page's own subtraction.

Power

Voltage states 120 volts for both, and watts states 1,560 for the Plus against 1,350 for the Classic Pro, each read from its own maker's document, voltage and watts read 1 September 2026 for the Plus, voltage 3 September and watts 11 September 2026 for the Classic Pro. Current draw is not printed on either page; it is derived from the stated watts and voltage rather than read off a source, 13 amps for the Plus and 11.3 for the Classic Pro, and marks the derivation as arithmetic rather than a manufacturer figure.

Boiler and pump

Boiler type states a thermocoil, marketed as ThermoJet with a three-second heat-up, for the Plus, and a single lead-free brass boiler, described by a distributor page as Single-Boiler/Dual-Use, for the Classic Pro. Pump pressure states a 15 bar Italian pump at 9 bar extraction for the Plus, per its maker, which also states an 18-gram dose for its 54mm stainless portafilter; the Classic Pro's pump pressure field states a 15 bar Italian-made Ulka pump with a 9 bar OPV, read from a distributor page. Portafilter size states 54 for the Plus and 58 for the Classic Pro, boiler, pump and portafilter all read 6 September 2026, the same split this site's other Bambino-against-Gaggia comparisons already carry. Water tank size states 64 fluid ounces for the Plus, from its own maker page read 10 September 2026, and 2.1 litres for the Classic Pro, from a distributor page read 6 September 2026; the two figures are printed in different measures and this page converts neither.

Frother and grinder

Frother states, verbatim, "With automatic milk texturing" for the Plus, from its manual, and "Machines with automatic milk frother" for the Classic Pro, from its manual, both read 6 September 2026; both are the manual's own wording rather than this page's summary of what either machine does in practice. The built-in grinder field states false for both: neither machine grinds its own beans, per the declared role each carries on this site.

Beyond the fourteen figures above, the Plus's own accessories list states a 54mm tamper, a Razor dosing tool and a 16-ounce steel milk jug included in the box, per its maker; there is no equivalent accessories line for either machine here, so this is added context rather than a line in the table above.

The three figures only the Plus states

Tank removal direction, temperature control and warranty are all usable for the Plus and absent at source for the Classic Pro. The Plus's manual states the tank lifts out from the top, and separately states "PID Temperature Control" as its own phrase for the second field; its own product page, read 10 September 2026, states a two-year limited warranty for the third. The Classic Pro's manual states none of the three, and this page records that as an absence in the manual, not as a missing feature this page has any basis to assume either way.

What this page does not settle

The Classic Pro's current place in Gaggia's own lineup is an open ruling on this site, not settled here. Gaggia's US-specific model naming shifts between its manual-machine catalog pages in ways this site's research has flagged before, which is one more reason this page states what we have read rather than ranking either machine above the other. There is no best machine named on this page, only the figures both makers state, and the two neither one does.

The fourteen shared figures above do include a tank volume, in two measures rather than one: 64 fl.oz for the Plus, from its own maker page read 10 September 2026, and 2.1 litres for the Classic Pro, from a distributor page read 6 September 2026. This page prints both exactly as read and converts neither into the other's unit.
