What we collect
Setistry records two kinds of thing: first-party analytics about visits, and the messages you choose to send us through the contact form. Each is described below.
The analytics are first-party and cookieless. To group the pages you view during one day without a cookie, we compute a same-day visit key: a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's type, made fresh on every request. No cookie is set for this, your IP address and full browser identification string are never stored on their own, and nothing links your visits from one day to the next. Alongside that key we may record: the pages you view, campaign parameters from the link that brought you here (UTM parameters), the referring site's hostname, and a coarse device classification (mobile, desktop, or bot). We do not collect names or e-mail addresses through analytics. No third party ever receives this data: our Content Security Policy restricts every connection the page itself makes to this site alone. If your browser still carries a cookie named hc_sid from before September 2026, it is cleared automatically the next time you load a page here, and nothing takes its place.
Stored in your browser
Four preferences live only in your browser's own storage and are never sent to us: setistry.unit (whether you chose inches or centimeters), setistry.counter (the dimensions you typed into the fit calculator), setistry.saved (the setups you chose to save on this device), and setistry.scenario.<setup> (one entry per setup whose fit check you filled in). Each is written only because you used the specific feature that needs it, and each stays on your device until your browser clears it or you do.
The contact form
A message you send through the contact form is stored with us: the e-mail address you gave, the name if you gave one, the page you were writing about if one was filled in, the text of the message, and the time it arrived. We keep it so that we can answer you. No IP address and no browser identification are stored with it: the limit on how many messages one connection can send in a short time works on a hashed address held in memory, which is forgotten.
Outbound click measurement
When you click a link to an external merchant, we record that a click happened - which product, which page, and the session it belonged to - so we can understand which guides are useful. The click takes you directly to the merchant; the measurement never redirects you.
We operate content on Pinterest. If and when our Pinterest integration is connected, we receive aggregate statistics about our own Pins from the Pinterest API (impressions, saves, clicks). This is data about our content's performance, not about identified visitors. Visits that arrive from Pinterest are measured with the same first-party analytics described above.
Affiliate measurement
Amazon, eBay, MHW-3BOMBER and 1st in Coffee links are affiliate links (we earn a commission at no cost to you). Other shop links are plain links. When a program is active, its network may attribute a purchase to a link you clicked, under that network's own privacy terms; on our side we receive aggregate reports, never your personal purchase details.

Third-party services
The site is hosted on a cloud hosting provider and uses a managed database provider; both process technical request data (such as IP addresses in transient server logs) as any web host does, under their own terms. We do not sell data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Retention
Analytics rows, the visit-key sessions and the pageviews tied to them, are deleted automatically 90 days after they are written, by the same daily process that also runs the contact-message purge below. A message sent through the contact form is kept for 12 months after it has been dealt with, then deleted; earlier on request: write to the address below, from the address you used, and we delete it.
Your rights
Wherever GDPR or CPRA gives you rights over your personal information: you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how it is used. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To ask for any of this, or for any other privacy question, write to the address below and we will make a reasonable effort to help under applicable law.
