Kettles

This category lists gooseneck kettles with the figures each maker prints. A gooseneck pours slowly and exactly, which is what pour-over needs, so the choice comes down to three questions, asked in this order.

First, capacity. Makers print it in litres or ounces: one prints 0.8 L, another 1 L. Match it to the water you pour in one go.

Second, temperature. Some kettles hold a set temperature, and one prints a keep-warm mode of 1 hour. If you brew at the same temperature every time, this is the figure to compare.

Third, space. The spec table sets width, depth, height, power and weight side by side, and a dash means no published figure has been found for that cell. Depth shows a dash where the maker labels the long side L for length, because a length is not a depth, and one tape measure closes it. Wattage matters when the kettle shares an outlet with a machine, and one maker's manual states 1200 W. Under a cabinet, check the height with the lid open as well.

Use the sort and filter controls to narrow the list, then read across the table, and open a product to see where each figure comes from and its date.
